Our designers account for all unique design characteristics, specific production processes, and their compatibility with selected materials to ensure that the mold will perform optimally and create the best possible version of the final product. We have tooling suitable for all mold materials, including, steel, aluminum, and cast.
Reko Tool & Mold is one of the leading injection mold builders in the world. With customers across the globe, we have extensive experience producing large-component molds for a variety of industries and applications, including.
- Heavy Truck
Our molds are capable of producing exceptionally durable large parts, such as engine covers, wheel arch liners, and under body shields.
LARGE ALUMINUM INJECTION MOLDS – PROTOTYPE
Prototype aluminum injection molds are very well-suited for quick manufacturing of large components. Aluminum exhibits several advantages as an injection mold material, such as:
- Heat dissipation. Aluminum dissipates heat more quickly than steel, which is especially useful for large parts which need to cool evenly to retain structural integrity. This property also allows molded parts to cool more quickly for a quicker production turnaround.
- Strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminum is lightweight and exhibits a high strength-to-weight ratio, making it is easier to incorporate and install. The strength of aluminum allows molds to retain detailed shapes and designs throughout the molding process.
- Cost-effectiveness. Aluminum is much less expensive to obtain and form than steel, making it a more cost-effective option for injection mold designs.
