Our low-waste, high-throughput large scale molding service allows us to design, engineer, and manufacture massive part molds for a wide variety of applications. MULTIPLE CAVITY MOLDS
At Reko, we can produce multi-cavity molds that for the simultaneous production of multiple parts within a single mold. This facilitates higher throughput by increasing the overall cycle speed of parts and provides an overall lower cost per part.
FULL COMPLEMENT OF SECONDARY TOOLING
Along with supplying top engineered molds Reko provides a wide array of secondary tooling to complement the complete molding process within your facility. Extensive knowledge in the design and manufacturing of Water Jet Bucks, Gages, D-Plugs, End of Arms and Assembly Assist machines allows Reko to become your turnkey solution provider.
All secondaries are designed and manufactured within the Reko facilities and controlled by a highly skilled group of seasoned professionals. A robust approval process before leaving the Reko facility with give you, the customer, the peace of mind that a quick and seamless start up is expected. During the approval process, mold tooling can be run at temperature, and all movable external clamping systems are run for multiple hours-long test runs if applicable.
WHAT IS COMPRESSION MOLDING?
Compression molding is a manufacturing molding process that uses two mold halves—a core half and a cavity half—to compress a heated polymer, or regular temperature polymer between heated cavity and core halves. Once the material is in the mold, the two halves are closed together and compressed to create a final product.
The type of molding technique and compression method varies by material and use case. Since compression molding can involve many unique compression strategies, it can produce products that vary in size, thickness, weight, material, and overall complexity. Compression molding can also take intricate geometries into account, allowing for incredibly complex designs while still providing good throughput and low waste.
